What exactly was Moss Man's backstory? Was he made of moss? Or did he have the power to cover things in moss?

Two things...
First, I totally agree with the earlier post about the violence. The very idea that a writer has the notion to toss the baby out the window and then some 'artist' has the ability to draw it offends! Since Red Skull is a mainstay bad guy, we know that he's not going to get what he has coming to him (justice-wise) and therefore the idea of a revenge plot is pointless. The reason a story like TAKEN worked was that Liam's character DOES get revenge for the abduction of his daughter. Will red skull wind up splattered on the streets? I doubt it. I think that violence (in comics as well as in film) works best when it's done the way Hitchcock did it. Otherwise its Gore-nography.

Second, check out my blog for some cool images from the Star Wars display at the Indy Museum.

I, too, agree with the last post, re, Marvel's sick violence.

I opened that issue, saw the gun to the baby's head, and put it down. I'm done with the Ultimate line of books now--and I wasn't really sold on them to begin with after Ultimatum. Old Man Logan was more of the same garbage.

Violence can be used to make a point, this was just the comics version of torture porn. I've read a lot of comics, and a lot of violent comics as well, there's a place for hard violence, and it's not in a comic with Captain America on the cover. Not something a kid could pick up. Marvel should be ashamed.

Oops! I accidently closed the violence post's comment section. It's back up.

Wiki has this about Moss Man:

"As his name indicates, he is a man made of moss, whose power is to camouflage into foliage and other green areas (making him a useful spy), as well as control all plant life. He lives in the Evergreen Forest in harmony among the animals and plants."

I thought he was a bad guy, but nope. I like him better as a villain.

Jim my man, you are the dork that i lack the self discipline to be.
You have now earned a place on my daily feed, right there between oneplusinfinity and illdoctrine. Moss man does rule, doesn't he? i never realized.
An anecdote before i go..
when i was little my father thought the word "penis" was inappropriate so he dubbed our wee trouser trouts manee's. "my manee hurts"..and so forth. Imagine our delight when He-man made the acquaintance of the heroic human..robot..monster Man-E-Faces. good times.

Another figure we won't be able to get from Mattel

Did Mattel cancel the figure? Pics 3 & 4 were from Toy Fair showcasing this year's new He-Man Classic figures. I want me some Moss Man, Man!
